- TRADE TIPS:

• Make sure you get a quote on a professional contract- detailing the work to be done.
  
• 30 year dimensional/architectural shingles are NOT expensive as many salesman claim.  Put a good shingle on your home for value and appearance.
  
• 6 nailing also known as “storm nailing” adds extra wind protection and is a must
  
• Ice and water barrier is an excellent product on high risk areas, valleys, low pitch, etc.
  
• Brick chimneys should have flashing done by “grind and tuck” method
  
• If replacing hat/mushroom type vents cover holes with wood- NOT flashing metal.
  
• NEVER allow someone to re-sheet plywood over old wood- always remove to rafters
  
• Never let wood be included in price, unless total resheet- if its bad you want it replaced, not covered over because they are not getting paid to replace.
  
• Depending on the roof we offer up to a 30 yr labor warranty
